Teddy Bear Picnic

Grab your favourite Teddy Bear and your favourite people and enjoy an evening on the grounds of Parkwood Estate!

Participate in our scavenger hunt, take a photo with our life sized Teddy Bear in our photo area and enjoy a live story reading!

Get ready for some incredible entertainment as well! To ensure everyone attending gets a chance for a balloon/photo please limit to one balloon/photo per child.

This event is rain or shine so we encourage you to get creative in the event of rain. Have a picnic in the car, or take it home and enjoy it under a homemade fort!

Step into the unexpected at Parkwood's Topsy Turvy Tea, where afternoon tea goes delightfully rogue! Join us in the elegance of the historic sunroom for a tea experience that turns tradition on its head.

We have swapped scones for sliders, petit fours for deep-fried delights and dainty finger food for pub-inspired bites served with flair.

Please note, there are several steps down to some tables so please let us know of any mobility challenges.

This is an externally catered event. All menus are set, and we are unable to accommodate food preferences. However, allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated—please select the correct ticket when making your purchase.

Big Bounce Canada - Markham

Have you ever wanted to bring a blanket and some snacks and picnic on the Parkwood grounds? Well now you can!

Parkwood does not allow picnics to be held on the grounds except for a few special ticketed events per year. Here's your chance to picnic on the expansive grounds!

Pack a nice blanket and/or chairs (no tables please) and your favourite Picnic foods and come and explore all of the Parkwood grounds and make some memories!

Grounds will be closed to the general public, only those with tickets will be permitted to this exclusive event.

No BBQ's or alcohol are permitted on the grounds and any found may result in removal of your party from the property.

Registration and check-in is required and tickets are $10 per person, 2 and under are free.

In the event of inclement weather, Parkwood will make a call as to the possible cancellation of the event. If a cancellation occurs you will have the option to move your booking to another exclusive picnic date or a refund.

No pets permitted.

Stained glass workshop presented by Emilie Shipman-Wight of Feather and Fibres and Meghan Murphy of Meghan’s Glass Creations.

Learn the basics of stained glass, get creative with friends and leave with your own beautiful creation. After selecting your pieces from an assortment of pre-cut glass in a variety of colours and textures, you will learn to apply copper foil, solder and patina. Polish will finish the piece and make it shine! Workshops run for 2.5 - 3 hours with participants finishing projects at different rates.

All materials and equipment are provided. No previous experience is required. Participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Gloves will be provided. You may choose to bring a work apron to protect your clothing.
